Simha (Lion): The lion has long stood guard at grand doorways as a symbol of courage, strength and protection. Simha has a flowing mane, a sculpted brow and a steady, watchful gaze, and holds a smooth brass ring in its jaws.

Gaja (Elephant): The elephant at the entrance is a sign of welcome, wisdom and good fortune. Gaja rises from a round, finely textured backplate, its trunk curving down to hold a ringed knocker banded with raised detailing.

Striking on a front door, and equally at home on a wooden gate, a pooja room entrance or a heritage-style cabinet.

Care Instructions

• Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.
• Brass naturally darkens over time. Many people love this patina, but to restore the shine, rub gently with a paste of lemon juice and salt or tamarind, or use a mild brass polish. Then rinse with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach and abrasive scrubbers, which can scratch the surface.
• On exterior doors exposed to rain, wipe the knocker dry after wet weather to slow tarnishing.
